1. Power Off Your Phone
First and foremost, turn your phone off in case it gets wet. If you keep it switched on, you may risk dealing with the consequences of a short circuit that will only cause more internal damage.
2. Remove Cases, SIM Card, and Accessories
Any cases, covers, or accessories like the SIM card and charger can trap the water inside. Removing all of those will allow the air to circulate freely, accelerating the drying process and allowing the phone to eject all remaining water.
3. Use Silica Gel Packets
When it comes to absorbing moisture, silica gel packets are much more effective and safer than rice. You can either find them in product packaging or buy them online. Simply place your phone in an airtight container and let it dry for 24-48 hours until all remaining moisture is fully absorbed.
